The Things I No Longer Do (And How That Changed My Life)

I didn’t wake up one day and decide to “change my life.”
It happened slowly.
Quietly.
Through small realizations that kept coming back until I couldn’t ignore them anymore.
At some point, I started noticing something…
I wasn’t overwhelmed because I had too much to do.
I was overwhelmed because of how I was living.
And once I saw that, I couldn’t unsee it.
So little by little, I started letting things go.
Not everything at once.
Just… one thing at a time.
I stopped rushing everything
I used to feel like I had to move fast all the time.
Even when there was no reason to.
Now, I move with more intention.
Not slower in a lazy way…
just not constantly in a hurry.
And that alone changed how my days feel.
I stopped saying yes to things that didn’t feel right
This one took time.
But I realized that every time I said yes to something that didn’t align…
I felt it.
So now, I pause.
And if it doesn’t feel right, I don’t force it.
I stopped overfilling my days
There was a time when a “full day” felt productive.
Now?
A full day doesn’t always feel good.
So I leave space.
For:
nothing
for breathing
for being present
And somehow, I get more out of my days that way.
I stopped overcomplicating my style
This one changed my mornings completely.
I don’t need:
ten options
five outfit changes
overthinking
I just need pieces that work.
That feel good.
That make sense for my life.

I stopped trying to make everything perfect
This was a big one.
Because perfection is exhausting.
Now I focus on:
what feels good
what works
what’s real
And everything feels lighter.
What I Added Instead
This is the part people don’t talk about.
It’s not just what you remove.
It’s what you replace it with.
I added:
softer mornings
more intention in how I get dressed
a calmer home environment
space in my day
small moments that actually matter
And over time…
everything started to feel different.
A Few Things That Help Me Stay in That Energy
Nothing complicated.
Just small things that support how I want to feel day to day.
comfortable, elevated basics I can wear without thinking
pieces in my home that make the space feel calm
simple routines that don’t overwhelm me
I put together a small edit of things I actually use and love, things that help me keep my days feeling soft, simple, and intentional.

You don’t need to change your whole life overnight.
You don’t need a full reset.
Sometimes…
you just need to stop doing the things that don’t feel right anymore.
And make space for the ones that do.
With Love
Sasha.
