When people ask me where to go in Coral Gables, I never know how to answer right away.
Not because there aren’t good places.
But because the ones I love aren’t just “places to go.”
They’re places we keep going back to.
They’ve become part of our rhythm.
Part of our days.Part of how life feels here.
And I think that matters more than any “top 10 list.”
Crema
The kind of place that always works
Some mornings don’t need anything complicated.
Crema is one of those places we go when we just want something easy that still feels good.
Coffee, breakfast, a moment to sit.
It’s simple, but it sets the tone for the whole day.
Books & Books
Books & Boosks is much More than a bookstore
This is one of those places that feels like the heart of Coral Gables.
Not just a bookstore, but a space where:
You can sit, read, and stay longer than you planned
There are events, conversations, and life happening all day long.
It’s calm during the day…and somehow more alive at night.
They hold events every week.
And I love that it works for both.
Caracas Bakery
A small escape in the morning or middle of the day
Caracas Bakery feels like stepping into a different pace for a moment its a piece of home to us.
With delicious bread, coffee and typical venezuelan breakfast.
You go in for something simple…and end up slowing down without even trying.
And those are always the places that stay with you.
Motek.
When you want something a little more elevated
Motek is one of those places that feels warm, inviting, and still elevated.
It has that Mediterranean energy I naturally gravitate toward.
Perfect for:
lunch
meetings
or just sitting and enjoying your time
Rivareno Gelato.
The small ritual
This is one of those stops that became a habit without trying.
Simple, light, and always a good idea.
Especially with kids, these little moments end up meaning more than you expect.
The in-between places that matter just as much
Some of our favorite moments aren’t planned.
They look like:
Tea at Say Tea & Smile
Stopping by Barnes & Noble
Walking around downtown with no real plan
And somehow… those end up being the best parts of the day.
Hotel Colonnade Coral Gables
The feeling of the area
"Walking in feels like walking into a Fairy tale castle"
Even if you’re not staying there, places like this reflect what Coral Gables is about.
Timeless.
Charming.
Intentional.
The kind of place where everything feels connected.
What I’ve realized about living here
None of these places are extreme.
None of them are “you have to go here once.”
And that’s exactly why they matter.
They’re close.
They’re easy.
They’re part of everyday life.
Because living in Coral Gables isn’t about chasing big moments.
It’s about building a life where your everyday already feels good.
If you’re exploring Coral Gables,
don’t just look for the best places.
Pay attention to the ones you’ll return to without thinking.
Because those are the ones that become part of your life.
With Love xx
Sasha
