Whether you're jet-setting for business or pleasure, your airplane outfit is your first-class ticket to making a fabulous impression and having a fun and confortable experience at the same time!

My Dad is an airplane Pilot, So believe me when I tell you, on this subject, I have Some things wisdom to share!


I really wanted to share some tips you may already know and some others may surprise you!

When it comes to choosing your attire for an airplane flight, comfort, practicality, and safety should be your top priorities but that doesn't mean you cant look good!


Here's are some tips of what to wear and what to avoid, along with some important safety tips!


What to Wear:


Yes! to Comfortable Clothing:

Opt for loose-fitting, breathable fabrics like cotton or jersey. Comfortable clothing allows for better circulation and reduces the risk of discomfort during long flights.


Layers:

Airplane cabins can vary in temperature, so layering is key. Start with a light shirt or blouse and add a sweater or jacket that you can easily remove if it gets too warm.


Closed-Toe Shoes :

Wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes with socks to keep your feet warm and protected. Avoid wearing heels or shoes that are difficult to take off, as you'll need to remove them during security screening.


Accessories:

Keep accessories simple and minimal to avoid hassle during security checks. A scarf or shawl can double as a blanket, and a wide-brimmed hat or sunglasses can provide added comfort and style.



What Not to Wear:


Restrictive Clothing:

Avoid wearing tight or constricting clothing that may restrict movement or circulation. This includes tight belts, skinny jeans, or anything that may dig into your skin during prolonged sitting.


Pro tip : No to Stockings :

Although it is highly unlikely, In case of an emergency Landing and or fire, this type of material is more likely to burn and melt.


Uncomfortable Shoes:

Steer clear of shoes that are too tight or uncomfortable for extended wear. Remember, you may be walking long distances through airports or standing in security lines for extended periods.


Pro tip : No No to FLip-Flops:

It is not only about looking although an accident or water emergency landing is very unlikely think about having to exit in a hurry / Running in flip flops or loosing your filp flops in the middle of an emergency landing.

This is actually my #1 rule when flying since I was a little girl, My dad always taught me to always be prepared.


Heavy Jewelry:

Leave bulky jewelry, belts with large buckles, and excessive metal accessories at home to streamline the security screening process and avoid setting off metal detectors.


Safety Tips:


PRO TIP: Stay Hydrated:

Drink plenty of water before and during your flight to stay hydrated, as airplane cabins can be dry. Avoid excessive caffeine or alcohol, as you know they can contribute to dehydration and if you have a sensitive stomach you are more prone to fill sick during takeoff or if there is any turbulence.


Keep Essentials Handy:

Pack essential items like medications, travel documents, and valuables in your carry-on bag for easy access. Consider bringing a travel-sized hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes.


Practice Good Hygiene:

Wash your hands frequently and use hand sanitizer to minimize the risk of spreading germs. Avoid touching your face, especially before washing your hands, to reduce the risk of infection.
